We are a big family that loves dogs and other animals. Some of us have had dogs all our lives. Some of us a bit less. Some only borrowed dogs to take for a walk as children.

Life is not boring when having a dog. Neither is it quiet. The house is not always tidy.  As all new family members, dogs also bring additional love and warmth into the house. In return we take on a life-long responsibility to care for them. The timing to have a dog must be right. Space and lifestyle too.

​

The breeding part of our dog life is my chapter…I am Kia, a Swedish woman living in Slovenia, by the Mediterranean Sea. Although I have lived most of my life outside Sweden, I still sometimes become homesick  and I miss my walks in the (real) forest. I have fond memories of picking berries with one grandfather and chanterelles with the other grandfather. Therefor I chose the name LINGONSKOGEN as our kennel name (Lingonskogen, Lingonberry forest).

Our dogs do not have a lingonberry forest nearby here is Slovenia, but we have long walks in local forests, in the olive tree fields, along the sea; life is good in Slovenia too! During day time we enjoy time mostly outside, at the farm-house, in the garden and in the dog-playground.

When it gets dark, we all go inside the house, for a rest.
